On the upside, I wrote some kick ass poems about desks today.

I am not making a difference. I am not trying to throw myself a pity party, but I am suddenly all too aware of the lack of an impact I am making.
My school has seen two off campus deaths this year: one stabbing, one shooting. We have not acknowledged these deaths as a school and offered one day of unpublicized grief counseling to students.

Making it through a week like this really is cause for joy.

Recently celebrated birth.
